And So it Begins....

I plan on putting a lot more effort into this blog, BUT this first post will be a "fast forward" post with pictures and comments to bring everyone up to speed on my activities.

So, here it is... from mews construction to trapping in as few words as possible.

This is a before shot... (used to be a family garden)

And after...
Then....

Now for the insides...

weighing/ equipment area (creates a double door)

Window...

Nearly finished inside chamber...

Now some trapping....

Tiercel Red Tail (first bird i ever trapped) (890 g)
He had a cool tail..Just to give you an idea of size... (and how tiny he was)

Another tiercel (around 980g)
First Hen... (1150g)(i cropped my body out because i was still in work clothes :P)

In the end all these birds were released. I am holding out for something bigger. Lets hope i made the right choice.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. What a lovely bird! We raise coturnix quail, which many of our locals use to feed their hawks and falcons. I haven't had such a surplus that I've resorted to selling them yet, plus I'm waiting to sample them myself to see if they are too good to share.
